In the role as junior MDE you participate in development of new products as well as maintenance of existing products.

During the first time you work under the tutorship of a senior mechanical engineer. This is a terrific opportunity to learn fast and have access to a wealth of competence. You work in projects according to Comsys Gate model, in line activities or in other processes and use available development tools such as Solidworks and belonging guidelines. 

Responsibility areas

• Investigation and analysis of new technologies and materials
• Concept designs
• Mechanical design and dimensioning
• Cost reductions
• Component and supplier selection
• Prototype verification and validation
• Participate in pre-compliance and type approvals
• Tools and development of work procedures
• Technical support to Operations (BOM, parts, supplier qualification) and production

The role can include a subset of the areas and the split of work between junior and senior designer will be dynamic with the objective to fully handle the mechanical design role.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with a few years of experience in mechanical design.
• Proficient in both Swedish and English, with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Strong interest in collaborating with suppliers and working with manufacturing techniques that influence mechanical design decisions.
• Experience with SolidWorks is a bonus.
• You are systematic, thorough, and practical by nature. You aspire to take full responsibility for mechanical design and develop expertise within the field over the next five years.
